Leaving the 99

This ATL month showed me God’s heart is after the one. He brought 6 people into a mountain away from grocery stores, coffee shops, towns, and churches to pursue and love one lost beautiful sheep. He took us away from the 99 to focus on one. This sheep is so close to the gospel. It was a hard month. It was slow, and steady and my American mind craved having a busy schedule. At times I felt like I wasn’t doing enough or being enough for God. Slowly, I accepted that God was really after one and using us to find her and proclaim who Jesus really is. She was more than worth it and I felt like I understood more of who God is. He is intentional. He is kind. He absolutely will use 6 strangers to pursue one and he doesn’t find that inefficient or wasteful, so I won’t either. In fact, it was effective and purposeful. We each got to share different parts of our testimonies and brought different strengths to serve her. I will miss the slowness of mountain living and what it taught me.
Goodbye Topojan. Kosovo next.

  1. LOVE!! Such a beautiful picture of getting to rest in the LORD after such a spiritual rebirth during debrief! Love you & miss you BIG!

  2. What an honor for God to use your team to share the Gospel with his one! That you see it as an honor is that much more beautiful! Thank you to you and your team for your obedience.

  3. Yes! After the one! So enjoyed this, Savanah! Don’t you love it when we are sought out and seen?! God is focusing on each one of us! Lately, we have had to turn in some coins to liquidate an estate. It was interesting, to say the least, to find the dates on some of the coins as the value of those coins were worth more than the precious metal itself. Our Maker searches for us, but then He searches our hearts.
