In Elementary School, I learned how to start writing Essays and their rule of thumb was to have a story that answered the 5 “W’s” – Who, What, When, Where and Why?

Who – Jesus. The one who is robed in white. The one that came to serve, not be served. He is our life. He is the reason for life. We have yet to live until we live in him. We are in him and he is in us. Our identity is in and him alone and from that comes full freedom.

What – The Great Commission. “Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”Matthew? ?28:18-20?.

As said above, it’s about love. I will love people well because I know how loved I am by God. How do I know this? “God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” Sacrifice is the greatest form of love. I have been died for. I have been bled for. I have been lashed for. I have been beaten for. I have been ridiculed and abused for. So have you and everyone who has taken a breath on this planet. It is good news and news that should and will be known by all.

When – I leave physically August 1st for 11 months. However mentally and spiritually I feel like I already started. God is doing some major preparation in my heart and I will share that in due time.

Where – I will be going to Spain, Romania, Kyrgyzstan, South Asia and Thailand.

Why – God + People. The first and second greatest commandment and the first scripture I ever memorized when I was a  youngin – “Jesus replied: “ ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’” That was good old Matthew 22:37-39. My number one priority is to love God and my second priority is people.

  1. Sav I am so excited for you and you have such a reel perspective! I just keep thinking about how His two greatest commandments are so simple, and yet if one can learn how to do those things, it is more fulfilling than half of the things a person will do in their life. AND YOU ARE DOING IT !! freak yah. I can’t wait to hear more of your journey sav!

  2. A woman after His heart! How encouraging to read this even as someone not necessarily called overseas. This calling takes place right here. Right now. Proud of you Savy! Keep going!

  3. You are so creative Savanah! Love this style blog. Also love, this sentence, “Jesus. The one who is robed in white.”
